This is where your O7 journey begins
At O7, every player begins by building a strong foundation: correct posture, stick control, basic rhythms, listening skills, and learning how to play together.
As students develop, they take on full songs, strengthen timing, and build coordination through choreographed movement. Each class reinforces discipline, focus, and an understanding of how individual parts fit into the wider group.
Over time, students become full O7 players — confident, committed, and capable of performing together on stage. Progress is not measured by age or natural talent, but by passion, persistence, and consistent effort.
Students progress through structured class levels, each building on the last and marked by a shoulder strap colour. Every level develops musical skill, discipline, and the ability to perform as part of a team.
The starting point for all new students. Players learn correct posture, stick control, basic rhythms, listening skills, and simple marching patterns, with a strong focus on playing together as a group.
Students build confidence by consolidating core skills and tackling more complex rhythms and longer pieces. Greater coordination, timing, and consistency are developed at this level.
Technique and musical accuracy are refined. Players master intricate rhythms, choreographed movement, and sustained performance, developing precision, endurance, and musical expression.
Performance-focused classes that operate like rehearsals. Players prepare full shows, lead sections, and demonstrate creativity, discipline, and strong stage presence.
Progress is based on commitment and consistent effort. Students move forward at their own pace, and every level prepares them fully for the next challenge.
Who the classes are for?
O7 classes are open to all ages, from beginners joining for enjoyment to players who want to train seriously and progress as performers. There is a place for everyone within the programme.
Classes are organised by age group and progression level, ensuring a supportive, focused environment where each student can develop at the right pace.
